This was a much easier day than yesterday. The headaches did not come into play at all today. We discussed the Army Interview process and how to run a simple Interview. There was several variations to the whole inerview process. There is no such thing as a correct way to conduct it as long as all of the steps were taken. You can’t be wrong by completing all of the steps.
This took most of the day. We got out a little early for lunch only because we completed the prior-lunch classes before lunch was scheduled. Once we got back from lunch, we started talking about the same thing we have been talking about all day. We started right back on the morning classes as soon as we got back at 1300 hours. I understood a lot of what was going on this time around.
We were told at about 0800 hours that we would be able to get our assignmets today. You know, the ones that are going to tell us what BN we will be going to. Once we get this information, we will be able to find out what company we will be going to. At about 1430 hours, one of our overheads came into the classroom and stated that nobody would be getting their orders today. One of our seniors in the class, a student, asked the overhead why the students keep hearing several different things when it comes to these orders. He basically told the overhead that the students didn’t want to hear about the orders unless we were being told where we were going. So I thought that this was pretty cool. Another funny moment you should have been there.
Our class was cut short today. You have no idea how bad this hurt my feelings (a sarcastic remark). I still have my wifey here with me on a visit. So I was pretty stoked about getting out of here earlier than usual. We were released because some select instructors had to go to a training meeting at 1600 hours. So, a good end to a somewhat easy day.
Ohh yeah. How could I forget? There was about 45 minutes left of class when the instructor wanted to run a few more phone calls before the class ended for the day. Guess who got to come up and make the first phone call. Yup, it was me. I conducted the phone call and at the end, the instructor said to me that this phone call was a lot better than the one that I did yesterday. I was happy about that. The down side was that it was another No Go. It was my second one. No worries. Well folks, unil next time, this is Casey Roberts reporting.
