Weekend 4 of 6

This weekend actually sucks for me. It seems as though I am not actually getting the concept through my thick skull on how to conduct a phone call and conduct an interview. I am not sure if these phones calls are going to flow in the way that these instructors are telling us. I understand that the phone calls will have to be conducted in a case by case operation. What Jimmy might want to do is going to be something different than what Susan may want to do. Everybody is different. We are scheduled to go live, meaning, we will be making live phone calls to live people on live telephone wire! I thought we would be talking to instructors, but, guess what, I’m wrong!

The Army Interview is going to be a real cookie. I know there is a lot to cover in an interview, but to fill two hours is something else. I am kinda not feeling the whole two hours thing. This is going to make me feel a little off base. There a lot of sections you have to make sure that you cover. They are going to cover more on these coming up this week. I will worry more about this come Monday.

We also have to have our evidence book ready by Monday. A lot of the students already have an idea about what they want to do. Me, sure, I’ll have one. The evidence books are nothing more than a book that provides proof to the individual, that you are talking to, about what this fine organization can provide to them. You also have to keep in mind that you are not only recruiting for the Army, but, you are looking out for the best interest of this young individual by looking at his non-military options. By doing this, you are opening the door to your funnel. You never know, that one person that didn’t want to join the Army may send somebody your way that wants to join the Army. It could happen.

Anyways, another reason why this weekend is sucking, aside from this Army stuff, is that my wife went back to the homeland. It was awesome having her here for about ten days. It was very supportive to have her here and we had a blast. We went to the Riverbanks Zoo and totally went into kid mode. There were so many things to do and it was a blast. If you are ever in the area, I highly encourage you folks to check it out. Well, until next time folks, this is Casey Roberts.
